My lived experience reminds me that leadership must start from the inside out\u2014when I do the internal work first, I\u2019m better equipped to help others believe in themselves and achieve more.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46f06db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"46f06db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This shift in mindset has allowed me to cultivate a leadership style rooted in presence and purpose. Rumi\u2019s words echo in my approach: <\/span><\/p><blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cRaise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> That quote continues to guide how I show up\u2014for my team, my family, and my community.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-229925c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"229925c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">But this journey of internal alignment doesn\u2019t exist in a vacuum. I\u2019m increasingly aware of how our broader systems seem designed to disrupt abundance and reinforce and replace it strategically with scarcity &#8211; particular for targeted populations. Disrupters thrive not on innovation, but on apathy and inaction. It\u2019s a model built to preserve control, and it\u2019s working\u2014too well. They prey on overwhelm and paralysis (f-adrenaline responses that are often autonomic and not strongly developed and purposefully managed coping skills).\u00a0 This is where the systemic control and power mongers don&#8217;t hesitate and act with their selfish intentions in mind above all else. I see it in the resignation of predecessors, the numbness of peers, and in the growing and\u00a0 heartbreaking questions asked by children who are already wrestling with existential despair and are actively taking action.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9bc0d42 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9bc0d42\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thi Nguyen\u2019s insight about outsourcing our value systems resonates deeply. I see it play out in real time\u2014especially in moments like we are living in real time (like I need more empathy and connecting to writings of Anne Frank &#8211; as an example) \u2014 where the pull for external validation overshadows the clarity that comes from within. And that betrayal? It feels like that moment in Braveheart, when Wallace realizes Bruce\u2019s motives were hijacked by the feudalistic systems of the time. One that\u2019s sustainable, workable, and rooted in something deeper than survival.
