IN!!!<\/h3>\n<p>Finally got to break in my new ROKA drag shorts. &nbsp;Man those things are \u2018sexy\u2019. &nbsp;Unfortunately no pix yet. &nbsp;My laps are below, and given my lungs, I am happy with the individual laps. &nbsp;Time to re-build overall fitness. &nbsp;I have been concentrating on engaging my lats, staying square and not letting my hands sink under me while pushing books. &nbsp;I have modified my hand entry to anchor more and be an early pulling machine. &nbsp;Muscle memory isn\u2019t there yet and when I get unfocused, a bit lazy or tired I can sense the difference. &nbsp;I tried to pair up back to back on my laps to get a sense of \u2018feel\u2019 and perceived effort. &nbsp;Not perfect but good swims. &nbsp;I like anything under 1:45 seconds per 100 yards right now. &nbsp;I\u2019d like to get it to 1:30 min per 100 yards. &nbsp;It will take a bit of time, but I will get there by May of next year. &nbsp;Then the work of translating that from the pool to OWS is the bigger chore. &nbsp;As a point of reference \u2013 OWS has seen this change :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>2015 \u2013 1.2 mile swim \u2013 1 hour 13 minutes<\/li>\n<li>2016 \u2013&nbsp;1.2 mile&nbsp;swim keep seeing a lot of single sport focused friends willing to make bad decisions. &nbsp;mostly in running and cycling. &nbsp;It\u2019s like they cannot see the forest through the trees. &nbsp;What happened to me. &nbsp;I know I was always the sensible type, but competition fueled me too. &nbsp;I guess I am just a different person as I age. &nbsp;Growing up is such a treat, I tell you what. &nbsp;My right glute is on fire, and I tried some stretches yesterday before swimming and it\u2019s helping. &nbsp;What\u2019s up with this need to stretch? &nbsp;I don\u2019t like it.<\/p>\n<p>made a tasty lunch salad. &nbsp;Was enjoying it until Dennis our boy calls, asking where we were b\/c school got out at 1 pm today. &nbsp;Oops, Liz fell asleep with Juniper. &nbsp;So I hustled over and picked him up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" early morning. &nbsp;The plan is to fetch Rufus at approx 5:45 AM and head up to the trail head. &nbsp;It should be a good cool morning adventure. &nbsp;I think it will be one that invigorates him a bit further into his quest of being more active.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, life is good and I thought I\u2019d check in. &nbsp;No races or events on the horizon, just baby 3 making progress. &nbsp;Liz is dilated to a 1, which is a change from last week which was a (-)2. &nbsp;We moved some rooms around the house and have more chores to complete tomorrow I hope post activities. &nbsp;It is a 3 day weekend and I am looking forward to that. &nbsp;Maybe I can surprise Dennis with a tent night Saturday into Sunday or Sunday into Monday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h3>Activities \u2013 Strava Logs (<a
