in&nbsp;XXX.X<br \/>\nSaturday post activity weigh in&nbsp;XXX.X<\/p>\n<h3>\n<\/h3>\n<h3>Targeted Activity and Focus Points<\/h3>\n<p>SWIM<\/p>\n<p>Survive the tri dot plan. &nbsp;I had to skip one swim b\/c I was traveling. &nbsp;The other swim albeit brutal was pretty good. &nbsp;I was off my targets but I think I can zero that in. &nbsp;Hopefully I don\u2019t get too off course its a great opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>BIKE<\/p>\n<p>Recombant spinner at the hotel. &nbsp;It was brutal. &nbsp;Absolutely brutal.<\/p>\n<p>RUN<\/p>\n<p>Typical. &nbsp;Good frame, positive posture, good breathing.<\/p>\n<p>Nutrition<\/p>\n<p>using nuun electrolytes and probar protein bars and meal replacement.<\/p>\n<p>Weights and Strength<\/p>\n<p>pushups and situps. &nbsp;22 a day.<\/p>\n<h3>Weekly Reflections and Focus<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">I was recently accepted to use tridot pre season plan. &nbsp;I was traveling this first week so it was a bit difficult to get it all in. &nbsp;Tried to shuffle things around a bit, which helped but I wasn\u2019t able to hit all the trainer plan marks.<\/p>\n<p>It is interesting to be driven by such a structured plan. &nbsp;I feel good again this week. &nbsp;A combination of nutrition and increase of activity. &nbsp;My runs were quite decent. &nbsp;I am glad that i found Oyster point trails. &nbsp;I think I can find 6 miles in a couple different ways there. &nbsp;Because the dst constraints of shorter light, I can skip great highway when its too pressed and I can run the Oyster Point Bay. &nbsp;I got two solid runs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">One run I was just cruising and exploring. &nbsp;I was able to maintain what would have equated to a 2 hour pace without a problem. &nbsp;I was running a bit slower as i was in a very unfamiliar space. &nbsp;I was running with a handheld LED flashlight, a green flasher on my hat and a head lamp. &nbsp;I was a sweat fest. &nbsp;It was quite interesting. &nbsp;The one thing that was striking about that route were the tree and pipe bumps. &nbsp;It was hard to see things a bit and almost rolled my ankle a few times. &nbsp;Then I re ran the route mostly the following morning at a much better pace. &nbsp;Got some amazing photos of sunrise too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">One of the interesting things this week was the great feeling run out and about Land\u2019s End. &nbsp;Then to do the same on the follow up ont he run around Oyster Point bay. &nbsp;Then the swim on Saturday morning. &nbsp;I went to an afternoon event and was almost falling asleep and was famished.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Anyway, things are good. &nbsp;Travel wasn\u2019t too rough, but still work is a stresser. &nbsp;Our company is in process of changing a few things as it pertains to the clients I am servicing. &nbsp;it will be interesting to see my involvement in a few key accounts. &nbsp;Over time I hope that i can catch a rhythym that allows for life, family, balance and triathlon.<\/p>\n<p>One trend I ma seeing in many of the groups I am in, is watching folks asking for opinions. &nbsp;In some circumstances it really does seem that the questions are sincere. &nbsp;but more often than not, it appears to be reflective of looking for peer acceptance. &nbsp;That trend can be unhealthy especially in those that are easily influenced. &nbsp;it is like with anything, having to identify and foster and building personal strengths is often required to assure that we don\u2019t destroy ourselves following an inappropriate for us ideal. &nbsp;I tend to see advice as free advice, take what you need and discard the rest. &nbsp;It\u2019s just an observation. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">It\u2019s been great for me to start to feel good again. &nbsp;I feel that I ma starting in a bit better place than last year overall. &nbsp;I hope the weight follows and that I am able to get down to 180 lbs are lighter prior to &nbsp;May 6th and St George. &nbsp;I have put a few things down as potential events and goals so I will post those here:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u2013 70.3 IM branded st George- may 6<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 Ragnar trails Zions<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 gran Fondo cache Valley or other century ride<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 Wellsville duathlon <\/li>\n<li>\u2013 marathon \u2013 TBD<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 lots of other probably not structured activities\u2026<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 viking man 70.3 \u2013 if I can fit it in<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>2018 is the plan to complete a 140.6 IM branded event (Chattanooga, Arizona, and
