Green Smoothie
I forget how I ever heard about green smoothies, but for some reason I thought once that I would give it a go. It sounded like a great way to get my fruits and at least one veggie in. I was probably thinking at the time maybe I could get my kid to get some healthy stuff into him since all he ever did was eat graham crackers and drink juice. If that was the case, it worked.
I decided to try out a basic smoothie recipe one day a few years ago. It was bright green but smelled like bananas and strawberries. I was so weirded out by the color I almost didn’t drink it. I”m glad I did! I’ve managed to get over the color and truly love drinking these smoothies!
Ingredients ALWAYS include a banana and yogurt and usually frozen strawberries, a citrus, apple or other berries.
