Gingerbread Cookie Fun
I already wrote up a post about all of this, but then it froze. Now I’ve nearly forgotten everything I wrote! How annoying!
I love gingerbread cookies. In fact, I love most things ginger, but cookies are the best. I could eat a whole box of gingersnap cookies by myself if I wasn’t careful.
The first time I made sugar cookies it took forever. It was tiring to roll the dough out to the perfect thinness each time after carefully peeling up my Christmas cookie shapes. Most of the time the cookie stuck to the counter and I couldn’t get it up without ruining it. I thought the same thing would happen if I tried to make gingerbread cookies. Instead I ended up with the perfect dough recipe and everything rolled out smoothly and easily and came up from the table just as easily. It was great to make these. Great to make, bake, eat and decorate, yum!
First we cut out the shapes.
Then we bake them. (That’s right, you do see a pretzel shaped ginger cookie. It was the very last of the dough, I couldn’t waste it!)
