TRAINING VIA GARMIN CONNECT — Running

That awkward first step after a long hiatus – re-calibrating post hip adductor tear

Overall I think I hit all my goals with this first one. My focus for this run was keeping my heart rate below 150 and not letting it peak to or above 160. I am determined to change the way I breathe while running. I am striving to be more mindful about where I am and that I am not overdoing it coming back. I need to consciously stay within myself, especially with about 50 miles of cycling on my legs in the last two days. I strive to stay present enough to appreciate the weather and the simple breeze the crisp coolness of 32° F. I did try to do this in May of last year after a big week of walking and feeling really good, but that was two soon, my body and stress and blood pressure – let me know it and I shut the comeback down then. I am doing this by myself and family for me and them. I am not paid to do this, in fact I pay for the events I participate in. I still don’t know what my next steps are but for now, right foot, then left foot. Lots! Over and over and over again. Pool time for sure tomorrow.
