Find out a bit more about the guest – Alexi Pappas here!
Alright! So this isn’t just a pass along – some added thoughts. As a dyslexic I make what appears to be some really disconnected associations and this one was very cerebral – amid the ejections to a very fluid set of wanderings during the cast. So I thought about when I first learned of Christine de Pisane (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christine_de_Pizan) in my formative I knew everything years – that feminist – precursor to Jean D’arc really blew my mind and still does to this day. The paradigm of control is so elusive but quite center stage and loud today because of folks like Edward Bernays. It’s frustrating and it needs to stop. Doing my part even when I fell the world around me is silent (Commission or omission).
I also thought a lot about how this discussion leans into how I approach the 5 balls of life – I have some connected thoughts I have written in the past at this link. This also intersects with strategies I use as a parent with my neurodivergent kiddos with ADHD, ASD and PDA. My mind also wandered to other dynamics, but the approach to which Pappas speaks through is more cerebral in approach like mine- quickly adaptive and intersecting things in connections where other may perceive as “Odd” (you have to listen in for that reference). But another’s odd can be another’s normal (informed or not) and that is ok!
Listen in or not! I enjoyed this one – A friend of mine suggests 1.5 speed through some of their sidebars!
