You know, some periods are just – well – rough. Life is absolutely grand. Since the scenario with Lucas, he has mainly recovered. We have our needs met, most basic and a lot of wants too. But that doesn’t stop the inevitable realities of life that will continue to come.
The challenge of course is when the faucet won’t turn off. It’s like it is either broken or some joker of sorts keeps activating it. To that end, stress is high and life just keeps blowing up in different ways. And it just doesn’t stop. A work component that I won’t openly discuss here just rebounded and the boomerang is real.
So, to the good triathlon things. I have gotten a few Open Water Sims (OWS) in despite a lot of these entertaining circus events.
Hyrum Lake OWS
A local friend of mine decided to openly create and start an open water swim group. He named it COWS (Cache Open Water Swim Group) and I have swam a couple times with him. The location is Hyrum Dam reservoir. The first one was a big swim, but i also enjoy how fast swim fitness comes back. The last swim was full of boats and I was able to swim one way complete without stopping. On the way back though there was a boat drifting beyond the buoys. I could hear some drama on the boat from the family as it looked like they were trying to wrangle in some behind the boat float tool.
Sometimes, I start a post and can’t get back to finish it, this is one of those times, but I want to share pix from our OWS at Hyrum. It’s been a good couple of swims this year.!
