1st ride back in some time
Starting to detach from all extra platforms
Capturing my training via WordPress using embeds with Garmin Connect. Too many subscriptions, and moving piecemeal approaches. Currently, I use a Garmin Fenix 5 watch. This means my initial connection point is via Garmin Connect platform. I use ROUVY for my indoor and virtual training rides, and that delivers my output to Garmin Connect and Trainingpeaks. Sorry Strava, I think I will just let things flow through unedited until further notice.

A glimpse in the rearview
This is still a very interesting and often overlooked thing. Too often when validation and security aka listening are sought – we move too quickly. As a parent of Pathological Demand Avoidance kiddos, I’ve painstakingly learned that listening and observing leads to opportunities to validate, then receive context. Once consent is obtained, then we can establish a path to address and solve.

Fitness post injury is a humbling thing to chase. Add on that I am about to hit 50 in June and mortality is a real thing. One day at a time, one workout session at a time.
