TRAINING VIA GARMIN CONNECT — Running

I am determined to change the way I breathe while running. I am striving to be more mindful about where I am and that I am not overdoing it coming back. I need to consciously stay within myself, especially with about 50 miles of cycling on my legs in the last two days. I strive to stay present enough to appreciate the weather and the simple breeze the crisp coolness of 32° F.

Another 2 a day – Later swim, cut it off at 500 as I rode 35 ish mile all total yesterday. Apparently this was a decent swim by the numbers. BUt man, I was a bit gassed.

Honestly, I’m still trying to process it all. It was 45 minutes of interesting. At least I got in another 13 or so miles of recovery with a few efforts . What just happened.

  • A pleasant recognition – solitude, reflection, gratitude

If I was to sum up the single biggest problem of senior leadership in the Information Age, it’s a lack of reflection. “Solitude allows you to reflect while others are reacting. We need solitude to refocus on prospective decision-making, rather than just reacting to problems as they arise. You have some external stimulus, then you go back to your experience, your education, and you see what needs to be done.

  • TRAINING VIA GARMIN CONNECT — Rouvy Ride

Planning for things is always an adventure with 4 kiddos. I was monitoring work as I rode at first too. I was able to come back and finish this one out strong and even got to ride my physical gravel bike to go fetch my kiddo.

  • TRAINING VIA GARMIN CONNECT — Rouvy Ride

Glad I cut back a bit yesterday so I can not feel completely gassed. And I am feeling a bit invigorated instead of wasted. I turned on the t100 as well to catch the swim and the front part of the bike. It’s good to hear both Rinny and Jan talk around what’s going on during the race.

  • TRAINING VIA GARMIN CONNECT — Rouvy Ride

I don’t think I have ridden this one completely yet, just a few minutes for something a while back. This was a good solid ride, flat flat flat, and a way to maintain cadence.

  • Headspace and mindset oriented

For nothing delights so much as the examples of the virtues, when they are exhibited in the morals of those who live with us and present themselves in abundance, as far as is possible. Wherefore we must keep them before us.

Anyway, it was a good and solid swim and it was nice to have that 100 in the middle. Now back to the grind!
